INFORMATIVE TEXT ESSAY : GLOBAL AIR POLLUTION HAS FALLEN DURING LOCKDOWN COVID19

COVID-19 has driven the global economy to a near-halt as the pandemic sweeps the globe. After lockdown, air pollution has fallen. With factories shuttered and cars parked in garages, air pollution has dissipated in cities. The Chinese capital Beijing, known for the lung-choking levels of toxic pollution that shroud the city, has had the unusual sight of clear skies as factories in the region have shut down production. Given China’s huge problems with air pollution, which causes an estimated 1 million premature deaths a year, the reduction has offered unexpected relief.

The spread of coronavirus is fast enough to make almost all the world experience this pandemic. All countries experience economic crises, such as unemployee, starvation, factory closures, salary cuts that do not meet work standards.

On 14 April, the International Monetary Fund (IMF) updated its global growth projections from only three months ago, indicating that the global economy is expected to experience its worst recession since the Great Depression, surpassing the deep economic slump following the global financial crisis a decade ago. Earlier in April, the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA) analysed the effects of the containment measures and projected that the world economy could, in the worst-case scenario, contract by up to 1 per cent. Similarly, the OECD stated in early March that increasingly stringent lockdown measures in most of the world’s advanced economies would inevitably result in significant declines in GDP growth.

Several case happened in the Asian countries especially Indonesia. Impact of corona virus is amazing. Almost Indonesian people work in factory. When Indonesia did lockdown, the closure factory happened and many thousand people unemployment. Many people worry how they can eat in two month later.  many people starve to death. Another case, the increased of crime. Because they don’t have money, many people did theft. Such as, killed person and stole his motorcycle, phone or money.

Coronavirus not only make negative impact, but has a good impact for the world. Cleaner air has perhaps been the single greatest positive effect of the lockdowns on the environment. Citizens in Northern India are seeing the view of the Himalayan mountain range for the first time in their lives, due to the drop in air pollution caused by the country's coronavirus lockdown. Those living in Jalandhar in northern Punjab have shared pictures of the mountains from rooftops and empty streets, amazed by the view which has been hidden by pollution for 30 years.

In Indonesia, we also have many changes for air pollution. Jakarta is metropolitan city and including the most pollution city in Indonesia. But after government did lockdown almost two week, we can see how the cleaner air, nice cloud in the morning and evening, sometimes after rainy we often see rainbow. Recent years, I rarely saw how beautiful rainbow, but right now we often see rainbow.

As we know, lockdown has Positive impact for the world. Satellite images show reduced levels of nitrogen dioxide and carbon dioxide. I don’t know to gratefull or not during coronavirus. Many people die everyday but in the other side, the world felt healty.

The short story Teacher’s Pet by Graeme Winton. Teacher’s pet talk has thriller, mysterius genre. This story talk about Mr Leakey is murdered.. In the beginning he called electrician the named Dave Gardener. Mr Leakey planed to kill Dave in the floorboard. And it works! In the morning, Karen Gardener, dave’s wife come to Mr Leakey’s house. She felt something wrong about Mr Leakey. So she decide to looking for Dave. She knew that Mr. Leakey was evil because he killed his friend when he was school. But she is not report the police. She must knew one thing that psycophat is genius. I  definitely loved read this story. In the beginning part I don’t feel anything wrong with the first character. Mr Leakey like the goodman so Dave don’t know something wrong about him. But in the middle until the last part you can feel how the first character is psychopath.
